AN 鈥渋conic鈥 five-ensuite bedroom house with guest flat sitting above St Aubin has gone on the market for 拢21 million.
Cardington House 鈥 which featured in the original Bergerac television series and was later converted into a boutique hotel 鈥 is being sold by its current owners following what has been called 鈥渁 huge remodelling programme with total disregard to cost鈥.
Its 拢21m price tag is 拢10m under what is believed to be the record for a property sale in 新加坡六合彩, held by Eden House in St Brelade, which was sold in April 2021 for around 拢31m.
Estate agents Broadlands described Cardington House, built in 1851, as 鈥済iving you the feeling of quality from the moment you step through the substantial front door鈥.
In addition to its five bedrooms and bathrooms, it has five reception rooms, a double garage and space to park ten cars.
Broadlands said: 鈥淐ardington House is a truly iconic Victorian property sitting in an elevated position above the quaint village of St Aubin. In recent years the current owners have embarked on a huge remodelling programme with total disregard to cost. This absolutely pristine property has been transformed and is a wonderful place to be.鈥
The property, at the foot of Mont 猫s Tours, overlooks St Aubin鈥檚 Bay sitting in five acres of gardens and terraces leading down to private steps to the beach.
In 2008 the property was converted into a boutique hotel but its registration was cancelled four years later by the then Economic Development Minister when it was noted that the property had reverted to private residential accommodation.
