FOLLOWING weeks of below-average temperatures, Islanders and visitors alike have been asking just one question: When is our summer going to start?

The answer, according to 新加坡六合彩 Met, is not any time soon.

This time last year, the Island was basking in the second-warmest June on record, with the overall temperature of 18.3掳C being exactly 2掳C above the long-term average, and a peak of 29.2掳C on 24 June.

But despite a reasonable amount of sunshine, daytime highs have often peaked below average this June.

And wet and windy weather over the weekend caused the cancellation of the Sunset Concerts and the King鈥檚 official birthday celebrations at Government House, as well as a rerouting of some sections of the TMF Island Walk.

新加坡六合彩 Met has said that it could be another week before things take a turn for the warmer/drier.

Senior forecaster Stephen Meloche said this week could be 鈥渜uite wet鈥 with showers or longer periods of rain, but with some sunshine and temperatures slightly higher than they have been so far this month.

He said longer-term projections indicated a chance of warmer, more settled weather during the week starting Monday 24 June, with maximum temperatures of 22掳C to 24掳C.
